GOPOP - California
Dates: July 29 - August 6 Summary John Muir once said "the clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." He was talking about the Sierras. John Muir used to wander into these mountains to find the meaning of life. We just hope to have a really good time, but if anyone does happen to find the meaning of life, we expect a cut of the book deal. OK? Seriously, the Sierras are a magic place. People come from all over the world to hike, climb, or just look around. We'll be delving a little deeper than the average tourist, but probably not as deep as Mr. Muir. This trip will start off with a day of rock climbing near beautiful Sonora, CA and then we'll dive into the Emigrant Wilderness area. The official agenda will be decided on by the whole group, but you'll have beautiful lakes and valleys to choose from along with potential for peak bagging and high mountain passes.
